I am an experienced counsellor and family therapist. For more than 30 years I have worked with individuals and families across a range of health and community settings including adult and family mental health services, alcohol and other drugs services, schools and higher education.
I provide counselling for individuals, couples and families who are experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, stress and significant life transitions including in relationships, health, sexuality, adolescence, parenting, work, grief and bereavement. I have extensive experience working with individuals of diverse sexuality and gender identities and their families. I believe each individual is unique and therefore incorporate a holistic approach into my practice offering options to support and assist you to reach your full potential. My work with clients focuses on helping you gain insight and understanding to support the process of change and enhance relationships with self and others. As well as counselling I provide clinical supervision for health, community and education professionals, and consult with health and community organisations about clinical and workplace issues. I currently also hold a conjoint position as Clinical Associate Professor with the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Deakin University and continue to be active in research focusing in mental health and health disparities among marginalised populations.
